Welcome to our Autumn Newsletter

We bring you highlights of the work we are doing to help achieve our mission of enabling the best quality of life for us all as we age.

  • Our Active Programme team has been busy reinvigorating FitLine, a nationwide telephone mentoring service that supports older people to get more active.
  • Our Arts Programme team proudly present the beautiful documentary ‘Where Do All the Old Gays Go?’ that explores the lives of Ireland’s older LGBTQIA+ community.
  • Our Engage Programme team bring you AgeWise, a workshop that raises awareness of attitudes to ageing and older people.

We also share news of our pre-budget submission. In it we call once again for an Independent Commissioner for Older People.

Best wishes, Karen Horgan, CEO

FitLine seeks participants and volunteer mentors. Will you join us?

“I live on my own and I love having someone from FitLine ring me regularly.”

FitLine matches participants with a volunteer mentor who helps motivate and build confidence to get moving.
