More about this work:

The process for creating this set of works began in 2005 and was completed in 2006. The artist worked with Tallanstown National School for six months, sourcing archive and contemporary material about the village to work from as a base. First and second classes made collages representing the Glyde River. Third and fourth classes collaboratively produced a painting of Louth Hall, past and present. Fifth class made a work depicting the school as it was then and as it is now, and sixth class did a painting based on an old map of Tallanstown that the artist had sourced from the archives and juxtaposed it with a contemporary map. The artist also painted an abstract work on oil on canvas, painting over a collage with oil.
