Laura’s pieces are rich, challenging and vibrant, combining images and objects in ways that are surprising and sometimes startling.
And display an intriguing visual complexity, but they are also engaging to the viewer, with more than a hint of humour and mischief.
Laura said: “My studio space is filled with collages and maquettes that I refer to, as the painted images and the assemblages that I’m producing, emerge and take shape.”
“The process is one of continual addition and subtraction until I get to the point where I think each piece has its own character, which perhaps reflects my own personality and outlook!”
