John O’Connor studied Fine Art at Dun Laoghaire College of Art. The bog land and landscape of Ummeryroe, a town land of Co. Sligo, provided inspiration for this work. He paints directly from the landscape with colours that evoke the environment. John lives in Dundalk and is a member of Bridge Street Studios.
