Fiona Marron was born in Co. Monaghan in 1987 and now lives and works in Dublin. She graduated with a BA in Fine Art from Dublin Institute of Technology (2009) and with an MA in Visual Arts Practice from IADT Dun Laoghaire (2013).
Fiona’s work relates to several interconnected social systems bound through an interest in mercantile and economic influence. By means of encountering contexts of labour and trade, together with the protagonists of these environments, she explores the curiosities of behavioural traits that interest her most. Her practice has evolved through engagement with both pre-existing and constructed situations within these contexts, the results of which are often manifested as video installations.
