8pm Opening Night Concert at Slane Castle: Complete with 3 course dinner preceding the concert. Programme to include works by Pablo Casals, Osvoldo Golijov, Peter Sculthorpe and Caroline Shaw.
28 July
6.30pm Friends Event, Meet the Artists and Tour of Townley Hall: Friends of the BMF are invited to join BMF Artists for a private reception and walking tour on the grounds surrounding Townley Hall. Learn more about becoming a BMF friend here https://boynemusicfestival.com/friends
8pm Evening Concert, Home: BMF presents an evening of classical, traditional and contemporary Irish music in the place it makes its home each year, Townley Hall
29 July
10:30am Children’s Workshop, The Animal Kingdom: A lively morning workshop exploring all the sounds in the Animal Kingdom. Open to children ages 6-12.
1pm Family Concert, The Carnival of the Animals: A joyful afternoon concert featuring Camille Saint-Saëns’ beloved Carnival of the Animals. Designed to entertain young and less young alike!
8pm Evening Concert, Heaven and Earth: A programme of chamber music including music by Shostakovich and Gustav Holst designed to explore our secular and spiritual worlds.
30 July
2pm Tour of Townley Hall: A guided tour of the historic Townley Hall led by Brendan Kiernan.
4pm BMF Young Artists Concert: Afternoon prelude concert featuring some of Ireland’s rising stars.
5pm Evening Concert, Celebration: The closing concert of this summer’s festival with works by Beethoven, Bridge and Clarke.
In addition, this year’s festival will invite amateur chamber music ensembles of any shape or size to Townley Hall on 26 July for coaching sessions with Boyne Music Festival Artists.
