Launching our new initiative ‘PAF Connects’ at the Abbey
Sector networking followed by Emma, 27 November, 6.30pm

At the core of the Performing Arts Forum is our commitment to connection—building relationships, strengthening bonds, and fostering a true sense of community within the arts. Sharing the experience of live performance is a vital part of this connection.

With this in mind, we are delighted to launch PAF Connects, a new initiative offering discounted tickets paired with exclusive networking events.

Join us for the very first PAF Connects at the Abbey Theatre!

For just €20, you’ll enjoy a ticket to Claire O’Reilly’s joyful reimagining of Jane Austen’s Emma (stage adaptation by Kate Hamill), delicious refreshments, and a drink at our pre-show networking session. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow practitioners, share ideas, strengthen your ties within the arts community and have some fun along the way.

Don’t miss out on this exciting evening of theatre and connection on 27 November!
Please complete this form to book your tickets and we will send you a payment link.
We’re expecting this allocation to sell out, so early booking advised.

We are collaborating with Zanzibar Locke and StayCity Apart Hotels to offer discounted rates for this and other nights. For more information, please contact Paul at Paul@performingartsforum.ie.

Information Session
Earlier in the month, we hosted an online meeting to address some of the pressing questions from our members regarding Revenue guidelines on definition of employment, enhanced Revenue reporting, and Auto Enrolment. Bruce Stanley, Tax Partner at HLB Ireland expertly led the discussion, providing valuable insights.

You may already be aware of these changes, but they have significant implications for the sector, particularly in terms of employment definitions, which will likely lead to capacity and resource challenges. You can access the recording and resources from the session on this link.

Tax and Employment in the Arts Factsheet
As income tax season approaches, we’d like to remind you of our Tax and Employment in the Arts Factsheet. This resource provides valuable insights into the advantages and challenges of self-employment, registering as self-employed, Artist Exemption, and managing both PAYE employment and self-employment. It also covers unemployment considerations, claimable expenses, filing tax returns, record keeping, tax bands and credits, as well as VAT considerations.

At the core of Performing Arts Forum is the profound value of connection. It’s about the relationships that are built, the ties that are strengthened, and the sense of belonging that sustains the performing arts community. You can find out more about our background and our transition from Theatre Forum to Performing Arts ForumAnd if you’re not a member already, we’d love to welcome you on board as a member
