Betty Newman-Maguire was born in Kells, Co. Meath. She holds a She B.A. in Fine Art Sculpture from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin and an MFA from the University of Ulster, Belfast. She has exhibited widely and is the recipient of many awards, public commissions and residencies in Ireland, France, Germany and America.
