Petr Holecek was born in the Czech Republic and was educated in ?eské Bud?jovice, the largest city in the South Bohemia region of the Czech Republic. He has exhibited in his home country and in Poland and Ireland and his work is held in a number of public collections. He has been awarded the gold medal at the Benesov Art Biennale in 2006 and the Mill Cove Award at the 25th Sculpture in Context, Ireland in 2010.
