Although I have always created drawings, painting and phototographs and mounted several successful exhibtions in both Europe and Australia, this has been secondary to my work in the theatre and during the time that I worked as a yoga therapist and director of The Yoga Studio.
I returned to full time arts practice in 1995 with the assistance of an Individual Artist Award from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland. At the same time I was invited as an artist in residence at Creative Spark in Dundalk, Co. Louth where I created a new body of work.
The work created during the residency was shown in a sole exhibition at Down Arts Centre, Dundalk in April and May 2019 under the title Falling or Flying. Some of the work from this series has also been shown in the Beneath the Surface exhibition at An Tain in Dundalk and four of the works were in an exhibition in Athens in Septemember 2020.
