ICEHOUSE HILL (II)

Gerry Clarke , 1996 , Co. Louth
Gerry Clarke is a native of Dundalk who specialises in local scenes. These works were made to mark the creation of Ice House Hill Park, which was begun in 1994 and funded by the Naughton Family Trust. The park dates from the 17th century and contains a double-vaulted ice-chamber. The restoration of the park is a valuable amenity in Dundalk and in 1996 the park was awarded a Certificate of Distinction in Landscape Design by The Irish Landscape Institute.
