Peggy Murphy was born in 1927. She specialises in scenes of Louth and in the Irish landscape. She is a member of the Dundalk Arts Group and exhibits with them regularly as well as exhibiting as a solo artist throughout Ireland. This painting was commissioned to mark the opening of County Hall in 1999.
