THU 12 & FRI 13 OCT | 10:30AM| €10 (1 ADULT & 1 CHILD | A multisensory interactive performance experience for babies, toddlers and those who care for them. Two performers use music and puppets to welcome the children to the world of nature, growth and environment. Playfully together we celebrate their birth in the context of the natural world’s benefits for health and wellbeing.

SAT 14 OCT | 11AM (6OMINS) | FREE | Inspired by the theme of garden, the Small Wonders set, and the work of other artists and photographers, the children will use fabrics, wool and their own imaginations to create a textural collage piece. Suitable for children aged 7-10 and their parents/carers.

Get in the mood for Halloween with the SPOOKY STENCILS workshop for ages 7-11 at 12pm on Tuesday 31st Oct. Facilitated by artists Yvonne Dowd Gardiner and Darrin Finnegan participants can create their own bats, witches and pumpkins to decorate this your castle or crypt.

And if you’re feeling brave, there’s the SPOOKY MONSTERS workshop for ages 7-11 at 12pm on Wednesday 1st November. Get awfully artistic and creepily creative in a workshop facilitated by visual artists Breda Marron and Vivienne Byrne.

After all that frightful business, it’s time for some rhythm. GRANDPARENTS GROOVE is a together drumming workshop with Kada ka boom Arts Kieran Gallagher. Especially for grandparents and their grandest little ones. Get into some grooving fun this Halloween break. No age limit, young or old on this one, just bring your enthusiasm, and prepare to groove.

Celebrating the LU FESTIVAL OF LIGHT in ghastly style Once again the ghouls take over the streets of Drogheda for THE SPOOKS PARADE!! Come see the mythical celtic powers of the Cailleach, as she brings storms and the darkness of winter into our lives. Her cold chill will make its way across Drogheda’s ancient West St to eventually inhabit the surrounds of the 13th century Lawrences Gate. Yet even in winter, Morrigan’s Crow form thrives and battles with long eared Irish Owl, only to dance with delight into the darkness of the Irish winter nights.  Come and watch this procession of horrific characters march out onto the ancient streets of and drag their sinister souls all across the town from Barlow House all the way to Laurence’s Gate. Six schools will participate including: Presentation Primary; St. Brigids St. Patricks; St. Pauls NS & Scoil Aonghusa Marymount NS.
