Longford Lights 2026

Jobs and opportunities

Longford Lights 2026 invite Artists and Festival Makers, to join us for what promises to be an engaging and thought-provoking afternoon.

Take part in the Longford Lights 2026Artists & Invited Guests Networking Event, an afternoon of conversation, connection, and critical reflection on the role of arts festivals in regional development.

Date: Saturday 21 February
Time: 2.30 – 4.30pm
Venue: Longford Branch Library, N39 HK76
Light refreshments will be served.

At the heart of the event is a timely panel discussion asking:

Can arts festivals bring about wider arts development to a region?

This conversation will explore how festivals can act as catalysts for artistic practice, infrastructure, collaboration, and long-term cultural growth—particularly outside major urban centres.

Panel Speakers

  • Sinéad O’Reilly, Combined Arts Director, Arts Council of Ireland
  • Samantha Healy, Director of Services, Longford County Council
  • T.V. Honan, Director, Spraoi Waterford
  • Caroline Conway, Artistic Director, Longford Lights
Together, the panel brings perspectives from national arts policy, local government, and leading festival practice, alongside lived experience as artists and cultural producers.

The discussion will be followed by an opportunity to network with fellow artists, arts professionals, and invited guests in an informal setting.
