Open Call Brigid 1500, 2024

Jobs and opportunities

An event to help artists with research will be held Kildare Town library on Monday 22nd May 2.00pm – 5pm.

2024 marks the 1500th anniversary of the death of St. Brigid. Brigid lived long ago and many traditions, customs and symbols are associated with her.

Five people, experts in their field, have been invited to speak about Brigid, the person, the saint, the goddess. The speakers will explore her context, her legacy, her influences, and her life from different perspectives, thus allowing a more complex Brigid to emerge.
