An Táin Arts Centre are seeking applications from professional visual artists to expand theirartists’ studios, Bó Studios. Applications are open to established artists from or based in County Louth. The successful artists will be offered membership of Bó Studios, which includes studio space for 11 months from February 1st 2023 – 31 December 2023 and the opportunity to join a collective of multi-disciplinary artists making exciting new work and providing the chance to collaborate, support and exchange skills.
Bó Studios
Founded in 2020, Bó Studios is an artist studio space in Dundalk, comprising of a 30 square metre open plan studio space, 4 separate artist studios and a shed workspace area located on Jocelyn Street in Dundalk’s town centre, 200 metres from An Táin Arts Centre. It is a ground level site with 24 hour access, heating, bathroom facilities, kitchenette and a secure yard. Currently Bó Studios houses 4 practising artists in different disciplines and differing stages in their career. This phase of expansion will see 4 additional artists join the collective, bringing the total number of artists supported by An Táin Arts Centre to 8 in 2023.

A short list will be created based on the following criteria:
– Selected applicants must be actively pursuing a career as a professional visual artist and consider their arts work as their main profession or career. This applies even if
their work in the arts is not their main source of income or they have any other employment.
– A principal role of An Táin Arts Centre is to host and facilitate professional artists to make great work and to create space where developing artists can grow. Short listed applicants will need to demonstrate their ability to make quality work and their commitment to developing their artistic practice.
