This exhibition of new work looks at objects offered as votaries in thanksgiving and in hope. Using bone china casting slip and flax-paper porcelain she remakes and reimagines tools and implements, things from the everyday, turned into artifacts by touch. Even if they look like they are flowering they look like we should know what they are for. Beyond utility, they leave our lives and take on others.
Fiona Kerbey is an artist and arts facilitator based in Co. Meath and this is her first professional solo show. Curated by Aoife Ruane, Director, Highlanes Municipal Gallery, Drogheda.
